An active and friendly Group founded in 1976 with membership coming mostly from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the outer northern outskirts of London.

Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm at the Greenwood Park Leisure Centre, Tippendell Lane, Chiswell Green, St Albans, from early September through to the end of June.

A beginners class is run every year for anyone who would like to learn the fascinating craft of Marquetry and the current fee for this year is £35 which includes a starter pack of veneers and full membership of the Group.

As already stated, the annual subscription for members is £35 and those members can take advantage of the Group's own "shop" supplying veneers and other equipment at cost. Periodically we have guest speakers and demonstrations, hold Group and Inter-Group competitions and participate in the annual National Exhibition.
